I design and write large-scale fundraising appeals that do more than just raise money — they deepen a donor’s connection to the mission. By infusing a logical case for support with a true emotional center, I help organizations reach their most ambitious goals.

Project Highlight: Year-End Campaign

The Intent: Build a high-momentum campaign that reaches donors wherever they are — online or at their mailboxes; create a sense of shared purpose and urgency that moves stakeholders to help an organization surpass its most ambitious financial goals.

My Action:

  • Ghost-authored a full suite of fundraising materials, including direct mail letters and a 16-part email sequence sent from the organization’s leadership.
  • Segmented the story so it spoke to everyone from long-time supporters to potential donors hearing the appeal for the first time.
  • Served as the bridge between the organization and its creative partners, managing the design and video teams to make sure every piece was on brand.
  • Calibrated each message to reflect the specific voice of the mission, keeping the theme consistent from the first teaser to the final appeal.
  • Authored a social media sequence that acted as the pulse of the campaign, connecting physical mailers to real-time progress updates online.

The Result: The campaign mobilized a historic level of community support, welcoming 70 new donors and surpassing the year-end goal by more than 32%.

The Intent: Harness the power of advocacy to convert real-life experiences into tools for education and connection; develop an impact story that can be adapted to reach different donors through a variety of channels.

My Action:

  • Spearheaded the development of a cornerstone feature story, conducting interviews to capture an authentic, respectful, hopeful "overcomer" narrative.
  • Devised a distribution strategy that adapted this story for a high-traffic website, an eight-page quarterly print mailer and a campaign case booklet to reach as many donors as possible.
  • Collaborated as the lead strategist for a companion video, managing everything from the initial script and staging to the final edit.
  • Managed production logistics, overseeing the schedule and on-site coordination to ensure the creative process was respectful and efficient for everyone involved.
  • Ensured all content stayed true to our brand guidelines, balancing emotional resonance with the professional integrity of the institution.

The Result: This project created a high-value asset used across multiple fundraising cycles, deepening donor connections by showing how their support helps serve youth from crisis.
